Look who just turned five months! Yep, Charlie is another month older, and oh so much wiser. *wink, wink, nod, nod*
So much has happened in the last month. Here's a brief summary of events.
Charlie is now sitting up unassisted for longer and longer periods of time. You'll note that there are no pictures of this - that's because those periods of time are not long enough for Mommy to run and grab her camera. Oh well. Chalk that one up in the "Mommy Fail" column.
Charlie also began eating solid foods. More on that to come. But for now, I'll just tell you that some of his culinary proclivities are nothing like his brother's. Also, he is, hand's down, the MESSIEST eater. Ever. Ever. Ever.
He also has become a very profecient roller-over-er. Yes, I'm pretty sure you won't find that word in Webster's. Anyway, he is rolling from back to front and front to back and back again. It's sweet. Well, it's sweet except at 2:00 a.m. when he rolls from back to front and wedges his arm beneath the crib bumper and through the railing and in his twilight state cannot figure out how to get back to a more suitable position. Oh, but don't worry...he lets me know...by screaming. Have I mentioned how happy I am that he can roll over both ways? Sheesh.
And, as of this week, he is trying to crawl in earnest. Oh my goodness, it scares me to think that I may soon have TWO mobile boys. But really, last night I put him on his belly and he immediately pushed his butt up in the air and pulled his knees in. Beau was right there cheering him on. Go ahead, say it, "Awwwwww."
In other news, Charlie still thinks that it is necessary to wake once a night to nurse. I have not informed him of this yet but he is in for a rude awakening when "Cry it out - Round Two" begins shortly.
